To maximize your torque for improved towing, you can always upgrade to the available Duramax® 2.8L Turbo-Diesel engine. This powertrain gives us 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque for up to 7,700 pounds of max towing capacity. That’s enough strength to bring along a lightweight camper on your weekend getaways.

In order to help increase your control when moving with a trailer, this vehicle also offers an available Tow/Haul Mode. This system raises your upshift and downshift points, keeping your RPMs up for maximum control.

    If you’re journeys are going to take you off the road this vehicle provides an available Automatic Locking Rear differential. If your vehicle detects slippage, it’s able to switch into a locked differential mode to ensure all your wheels spin at the same time.

    To make it easier for you when you’re working your way down a hill, this vehicle can even be equipped with an available Hill Descent Control. As you’re moving down an incline, your vehicle will apply anti-lock braking to keep your vehicle moving at a steady pace. You won’t have to deal with any unwanted acceleration while you’re cruising down an incline with this feature.
